Amanda, RYT200

Amanda first came to yoga after being laid off in 2008 with millions of others. With a lot of time to fill, she jumped into a Bikram Yoga 30-day challenge and never looked back. While Bikram yoga was certainly not her ultimate path, she quickly entered the a 200 hour yoga teacher training program and immediately fell in love with the transformative power of asanas and pranayama. Never being particularly athletic, she was shocked that she could gain so much strength, length, and balance throughout her body and life. She couldn't wait to share yoga with others! 

She cherishes the moments when she can break down a seemingly complicated pose into its simpler parts for weary students and help them make sense of dynamic movements as part of a greater practice.

Amanda lives for lazy Netflix days on the couch!
